Friday Sewdays  Friday Sewdays are held on every third Friday of the month. The dates are the following:  Friday September 19th Friday October 17th  Friday November 21 Friday December 19th

Beginners Sewing Class Monday September 22, 2025 Join us for a Beginners Sewing Class at Homestead Fabric & Quilting September 22, 2025, 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. $75 includes all the fabric for your table topper! Whether you've never touched a sewing machine or just want a refresher, this full-day class is the perfect place to start. You'll learn basic sewing skills, problem-solving skills, and how to create a beautiful table topper (fabric included). Taught by Jenelle Hintz, bring your own sewing machine & lunch, tools are available for purchase on-site the morning of the class No experience necessary! Come learn, sew, and have fun in a relaxed, supportive environment.

Curve Quilt Class Friday October 3, 2025 Join us at Homestead Fabric & Quilting in Barrhead, AB for a fun and engaging day of creativity in our upcoming 3 Yard Rhythm Curve Quilt Class On Friday, October 3, 2025 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. $75 for the class, taught by Karen Bohn-Kippers Using the clever and budget-friendly 3-Yard Quilt method, you’ll learn to make a stunning curved quilt top using just 3 yards of fabric, without sacrificing design or quality. Bring your sewing machine, lunch, and your love for quilting!

Get er Done Days Thursday to Saturday, Nov 6-8, 2025 Get ’Er Done Days are back! Mark your calendars for November 6, 7 & 8 and join us at Homestead Fabric & Quilting in Barrhead, AB for three full days of stitching, socializing, and making progress on those unfinished projects! November 6, 7 & 8, 2025, Thursday to Saturday, 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. $10 per day attended This is an open sew day, bring your own project and enjoy a relaxed, supportive space with a great group of quilters. Whether you’ve got a quilt to finish, a bag to start, or just want some “me time” at the machine, this is your chance to get it done! Please register in advance by calling 780-674-6022. Come for one day or all three — we’d love to have you! Let’s get those projects finished and have some fun doing it

Christmas Fun Day's November 28 or 29, 2025   Get ready for a full day of holiday sewing, creativity, and festive cheer! Join us on Friday, November 28 or Saturday, November 29, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. at Homestead Fabric & Quilting in Barrhead, AB for a special event you won’t want to miss!   What’s in store? You’ll complete three beautiful Christmas projects, enjoy a delicious lunch (included!), all fabric provided – just bring your machine & supplies and a day spent with fellow makers in a fun, relaxed atmosphere   $125 with limited spots – payment is required to hold your spot

New Block of the Month

Morning Blooms Block of the Month
We’re excited to offer the Morning Blooms Block of the Month program! This queen-sized quilt (99" x 102") is made with Wilmington Prints’ beautiful Morning Blooms collection. Participants will receive the full fabric kit at the time of purchase, and then each month for 9 months we’ll send you the pattern for that month’s block. By the end, you’ll have a stunning finished quilt made step by step!

Anniversary Event Day - Goodnight Irene Pattern 

We’re so grateful to our quilting community for helping us reach 22 wonderful years! To celebrate, we hosted an Anniversary Event Day filled with creativity, laughter, and cake. Together, we worked on the Goodnight Irene pattern and shared in the joy of quilting and friendship. Thank you for being part of our journey, we look forward to many more years of stitching memories with you!

 Get er Done Days

Our sewing room was full of laughter, determination, and beautiful finishes during our recent Get ’Er Done Days! Members brought in their works-in-progress and spent the day completing quilts, bags, and other creative projects. From vibrant patchwork totes to a stunning quilt top and even handmade wallets, it was wonderful to see so many projects finally come together.

Thank you to everyone who joined us—it was a fun, productive event, and we can’t wait to host the next one!
